The Lawton Food Bank is closed inside and distributes all groceries via the drive through on the west side of the building no matter your mode of transportation. New and returning clients will line up in their vehicles on SW Wolf St facing east and wait for a member of the LFB to direct them forward; walkers will follow the driveway up and wait on the side walk by the corner of the main building. If you are walking or taking the bus, we recommend bringing something like a wagon or large reusable bags to help transport your groceries. Follow all instructions given by the LFB staff and volunteers when pulling up. Please wait inside your vehicle, turn off engines and refrain from smoking at the top of the drive-way. A LFB member will ask for your information in order to look up your account, if you are new, please let them know and they will give you an application to fill out before continuing. Once your household has been been checked in under your account, or your application is turned back in, your groceries will be loaded into the trunk of your vehicle if you are driving. LFB staff and volunteers cannot load items into the cab of the vehicle. If you are walking, we do offer one way bus tickets by request, courtesy of LATS, while supplies last. (Please call ahead if you will need a bus pass as they are not guaranteed to be in stock). Once your visit is completed you will be able to pull forward and around to the front of the building. If you are taking the bus, you will be able to follow the drive-thru to the front of the building, where the bus stop is.
*If you are looking for specific items (e.g. diapers, baby formula, hygiene items, or dog food), please ask! We will provide the items if we have them. Or if you do not want something specific due dietary restrictions, please let us know so that we can substitute that item.
