Who We Are

The Lawton Food Bank, founded on August 1, 1985, by Carter and Marilyn Crane, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger across southwest Oklahoma. For more than 40 years, we have worked to ensure families facing food insecurity have reliable access to nutritious food and essential resources. As a proud partner of the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Lawton Food Bank collaborates with community partners to strengthen local hunger relief efforts and expand access to support services. Our mission is to provide food and essential items to low-income neighbors while preserving dignity and promoting community well-being. In 2025, the Lawton Food Bank distributed more than 1.5 million pounds of food, serving 57,002 neighbors through five core programs: The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP Senior Box), Produce Pop-In distributions, the Mobile Market, and Community Collaboration initiatives that connect food assistance with local partners and outreach opportunities. In 2025 we expanded mobile and collaborative distribution efforts to better reach underserved populations, increasing access to fresh foods and reducing barriers such as transportation and mobility challenges. These enhancements allow the Lawton Food Bank to respond more effectively to growing community need while strengthening partnerships that support long-term food security.

Through the continued support of community partners and donors, the Lawton Food Bank remains committed to building a stronger, healthier community where dignity is preserved and no neighbor faces hunger alone.
